  • Job Responsibilities
    60% of the position includes constructing analytic databases from various data sources such as healthcare claims, national health surveys, and/or electronic health records.

    40% of the position includes conducting statistical analyses, including descriptive statistics using tabular or graphical methods as well as regression analysis and interpretation.

    All tasks will occur in close collaboration with faculty investigators. There will be opportunities to collaborate on journal publications resulting from these analyses.

    All required qualifications must be documented on application materials

    Required qualifications

    BA/BS with coursework in statistics or econometrics plus 4 years of related experience or a Master’s degree in health services research, public health, statistics, economics or a related field plus 2 years of related experience. Related experience must include at least (one) 1 year of prior research experience that includes preparing data for statistical analysis.
    Proficiency with at least one statistical programming language (e.g., SAS, Stata, or R).
    Strong attention to detail and documentation when writing statistical code.
    Interest in developing new programming and analytic skills.
    Ability to manage multiple demands and multiple projects.
    Comfort working both independently and within teams.
    Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

    Preferred qualifications

    Experience in effectively working with individuals from diverse cultures and populations.
    Experience analyzing healthcare claims data using SAS/SQL.
    Experience with conducting statistical or econometric analyses using Stata, SAS, or other similar programming languages.
