Hi Renee, I hope this helps your query.
Short answer: Yes!
Longer answer: While your major is relevant, and you shouldn't just choose it lightly, remember that many people don't end up working in the field that their undergrad degree is in. (Turns out a lot of people didn't choose a major that aligned with their more mature plans for the future.) :) The point I am trying to make is that most people have no idea what they really want to do in life, so choosing a major in a field in which you've never worked rarely goes well lol.
My advice to you is to choose a broad major that you can apply to an industry you find interesting. For example, if you're interested in business administration you may choose to pursue an online marketing degree because the two fields can be closely related. Congruently, you may choose to major in hospitality or public relations - all of the above majors can be applied to the same area of industry - business. Typically, only when you've chosen a specific career does your undergrad need to align with your career choice - such as being a doctor, or lawyer.
