A lot of schools would like to see at least one year of working experience before allowing students to apply for grad school. The disadvantage for waiting one year is for some people, if they do something right away, they may change their mind and end up never pursuing grad school. One of the advantages is definitely gaining the job experiences, which is somewhat crucial during grad classes and perhaps saving up some money to actually pay your way to school.

The obvious advantages for waiting one year is hopefully you can get a job and your company has a terrific tuition reimbursement program.
