Do people in college still use a voice recorder for lecture or that's out?

I'm sure some people are still using voice recorder. Everyone has their own method on taking notes and all. Most people use laptop to type up their notes so that when the lecture is over, the notes are typed, instead of listening to the lecture again at home and typing it out afterwards.

It's a little old school since students nowadays just bring their laptops and type their notes that way. But it's just whatever way is best for you to study and learn. So who cares.
