Can you get a F1 to attend public high school in US?

F1 is more for university/college students. There are complications for those who wants a F1 for studying in high school.

If you want to attend high school, then that's a totally separate issue. You actually have to hold a green card and be a permanent resident of the state in order to go to high school in the school district where you reside.

Read it up. I think it's somewhat possible. There's a rule for attending private school, which is easier and there's public school. There is, for sure, some sort of 12 month stay limitation law there. Got to check that policy out first.
