If you have been jobless for quite some time and unable to find anything, you should start to think about how your current skills can apply to other jobs outside your area of expertise. Do you have any special talents and skills that perhaps you can get a part time going first?

And a good tip when you are at an interview. Don't tell your employer all these restrictions you may have. For example, "i have to do 7-4 shift", "i have kids and sometimes i have to work from home", etc. You can always work those in once you are hired and if your boss is understanding, he/she may cut you some slacks.
