    This position is responsible for managing facility usage for the Glenn Korff School of Music (GKSOM) performing arts complex and overseeing the maintenance of the instrument and equipment inventory to meet the needs of the faculty and students in areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and outreach. Responsibility includes coordination of room scheduling and performance spaces in the Westbrook Music Building and the Kimball Recital Hall; analyzing, proposing, and facilitating improvements/upgrades of current spaces; evaluating and recommending operational changes; overseeing building and equipment repairs and inventory; managing key inventory; supporting event planning and/or catering; and supervising student workers and on-call employees for building monitoring, performance staffing, and special event needs. Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

    Minimum Required Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree plus two years of relevant office, facility, or inventory management experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Knowledge of musical instruments (brass, keyboard, percussion, strings, and woodwinds). Computer skills to include word processing, database management, email, and web applications. Experience must demonstrate record of positive collegial work ethic, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication and problem solving skills. Must be able to manage and complete projects with minimal supervision.
    Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree. Experience in an academic environment. Experience with event planning and scheduling. Music and Theatre production experience helpful. Supervisory skills. Experience with Apple technology products, Excel, and FileMaker Pro.
