    Position Summary
    The Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is searching for someone to join our team! We are seeking applicants for a nine-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position that will begin on August 26, 2019. The Department of Exercise and Sport Science supports and values diversity in its faculty, staff, and students. We seek
    a colleague who shares the department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion and who will be a dedicated teacher, active
    scholar, and effective mentor for students with diverse backgrounds, preparation, and career goals.

    Teaching responsibilities, which may include both undergraduate and graduate courses, will be primarily in the Exercise
    Science and Human Performance programs. Our new colleague will have expertise to teach courses in one or more of the
    following areas: strength and conditioning, strength and conditioning educator training, exercise leadership, exercise
    physiology and muscle physiology. There is an expectation for this individual to engage in scholarship and supervise student
    projects and theses. There will be some service and academic advising assigned each semester.

    Required Qualifications
    • Candidates for the appointment should have or be near to completing a doctorate degree in Exercise Science or a related field by the start date. Degree must be earned by the first personnel review, no later than May 15, 2020.
    • Candidates must have demonstrated expertise specifically related to strength and conditioning.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Preference will be given to candidates who have classroom/teaching experience.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with an established history of scholarly productivity.
