  • Job Description Summary
    Husson University School of Pharmacy is seeking applications for the position of Operations Manager for the Office of Experiential Education (OEE). The Operations Manager works directly with the Director, of the Office of Experiential Education to coordinate and manage the Introductory and Advanced Pharmacy Practice sites and placements that are required to meet the experiential component of the Pharmacy program. Emphasis is placed on executing the policies and procedures necessary to ensure quality experiential opportunities and practice experiences for all students. The Operations Manager has regular contact with pharmacy students, staff, and administration.

    Duties and Responsibilities
    The responsibilities of this positon include but are not limited to the following three areas:
    Clinical Placements: The OM manages existing and new experiential site information. This includes ensuring site agreements and all preceptor and student information are current and meet institutional, site, and accreditation standards. The OM is also responsible for managing site assignment processes.
    Assessment: The OM supports the School of Pharmacy’s ongoing strategic and programmatic assessments by compiling, organizing, reviewing, and maintaining data specific to experiential education in order to inform decision making and subsidize reporting to internal and external stakeholders. The OM assists the Director in managing student and site evaluations.

    Networking: The OM provides support for maintaining relationships with regional and national organizations relevant to experiential education and maintains strong relationships with site managers. The OM also assists the Director in the formulation and preparation for experiential advisory board meetings.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    The OM may on occasion supervise student workers.

    Education and Experience
    Education:
    A bachelor’s degree is required. Preference will be given to applicants with post-baccalaureate education in Science, Education or Business.

    Experience:
    Requirements
    Experience in didactic or experiential educational programming is expected. The successful candidate will also demonstrate:
    Excellent oral and written communication skills to a variety of constituencies including students, faculty, preceptors, and staff
    Ability to organize and prioritize competing goals and responsibilities.
    Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point, and basic database manipulation
    The ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels.

    Preference will be given to applicants with experience and/or knowledge of
    pharmacy practice paradigms
    programmatic and student assessment processes
