    The department has over 800 undergraduate majors and 190 graduate students in our masters and Ph.D. programs. The department has 21 tenure-track faculty with strong research programs in artificial intelligence, big data, bioinformatics, computer vision, networks, parallel and distributed computing, algorithms, security, and software engineering.     Position Summary
    The Department of Computer Science at Colorado State University (CSU) invites applications for one or more tenure-track positions at the level of assistant professor beginning in fall 2019. Exceptional candidates at the associate professor level will also be considered. A Ph.D. in computer science or a related field and a commitment to high-quality research and teaching in computer science are required. The search is open to applicants in all areas of computer science, particularly networking and/or cyber security. Applicants should have the ability to contribute to research and the development and teaching of computer science courses at all levels. Reflecting departmental and institutional values, candidates are expected to have the ability to advance the department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. The department is committed to implementing the BRAID initiative in fall 2019.

    Required Job Qualifications
    1. Ph.D. in computer science or related field by start of the appointment.
    2. Research expertise in a relevant area.

    Preferred Job Qualifications
    1. Record of scholarly publications in relevant areas.
    2. Ability to contribute to research, development and teaching of computer science courses at all levels.
    3. Research area in networking and/or security

A complete application includes a cover letter, complete CV, teaching and research statements, and three letters of reference. The CV must address teaching experience. Letter referees will be emailed immediately upon submission of an application with a request to upload a letter of recommendation. Letters of reference must be submitted by December 17th, 2018 for full consideration. Applications of semifinalist candidates, including letters of reference, will be made available for review by the entire faculty of the Department of Computer Science.
