    Bowdoin College’s Psychology Department invites applications for two one-year postdoctoral teaching appointments to begin July 1, 2019: one in the area of Social Psychology, and one open to any subdiscipline. Experience in both research and teaching preferred. Teaching responsibilities for each position consist of three courses: two to be taught in the fall and one in the spring. The four fall courses include a laboratory class in social psychology; research methods; data analysis; and introduction to psychology. Spring courses are yet to be determined. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education and a readiness to involve undergraduates in their research. The successful candidates must have PhD in hand by June 30, 2019.

    Applicants for these fellowships must have completed their PhD no earlier than January 1, 2015, If they do not yet have their PhD in hand, they must provide documentation from their home institution confirming that they will receive that degree by no later than June 30, 2019. The appointments each carry a stipend of $55,000 plus benefits. In addition, each position carries a $4,000 research and travel fund plus support to attend professional conferences.
