The Academic Affairs and Curriculum Coordinator provides administrative coordination and support for a variety of key administrative functions in the CDM Office of Academic Affairs. The Academic Affairs and Curriculum Coordinator works closely with CDM administration, faculty, and professional staff to support core academic operations and the dental admissions processes. This position also collaborates with the Student Affairs team, other professional CDM staff, the Dean’s office, and other University partners to provide support for initiatives pursuant to the academic mission of the College.

Responsibilities
In coordination with the Academic and Student Affairs teams as well as the Dean’s office, this position will carry out all assigned daily administrative and operational duties related to supporting faculty and students, programs and services, and other key administrative functions that promote the College’s academic mission in a student-centered environment.
Responsibilities of the position will include, but are not limited to:
Provides a high level of administrative, communication, and organizational support
Maintains a database of all students enrolled; tracks and monitors student academic progress; and coordinates submission of necessary documentation to the Registrar
Assists with the creation of a variety of academic schedules and calendars
Manages, builds and deploys course, course director, assisting faculty and guest lecturer evaluations each semester; extracts and reviews evaluations and provides comprehensive and summary information to administration and faculty
Assists with the collection, review, and distribution of all course syllabi
Prepares reports, takes minutes, tracks actions and recommendations, and provides other support for CDM Committees as assigned
Provides back-up support for electronic assessment creation and maintenance of the Learning Management System
Assists with on-boarding of new faculty and staff, as needed
Provides support for the accreditation process and site visits
Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion
Maintains current knowledge of University policies and procedures
Oversees special projects, as assigned
Maintains regular attendance and reliability
Responds quickly to faculty or student concerns
Performs other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in higher education or medical/dental administration
Previous experience in organizing and maintaining moderately complex filing and record-keeping systems (paper and electronic) consistent with FERPA
Strong computer skills and extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google Docs and other programs
Experience in academic affairs is desirable, or experience resolving complex issues while remaining calm and unflappable
Work experience in higher education and/or health care facility, including customer service, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
