  • Job Summary
    The Office of Engineering Communications and Marketing seeks to hire a communications and marketing specialist to collaborate and work on advancement and fundraising initiatives on-site in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. The successful candidate will work with both the Engineering Advancement team and the Communications and Marketing team to enhance day-to-day departmental, programmatic and campaign-specific strategies within the college. Applicants must have a command of both strategic and tactical communications and marketing approaches, as well as talent for effective storytelling as a means of furthering the college’s advancement and fundraising goals.

    This position is On-Site at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama.
    Essential Functions
    Creating fundraising proposals; case statements; writing and editing news items and related donor communications; creating, ordering and working with vendors on donor recognition pieces; writing scripts for videos and in-person events, etc.
    Collaborating with a graphic designer and producer/director to create materials to be used by the college’s Office of Advancement.
    Creating and maintaining advancement-related web and social media content, as well as overseeing a wide range of communications projects.

    Bachelor’s Degree In Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field And 0 years of Experience in marketing and communications services to include print journalism

    SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED FOR EXPERIENCE: Yes , When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
