Job Purpose
This position is responsible for providing customer service to students and visitors on behalf of the Business Office.

Essential Functions
Provide customer service to students and visitors on behalf of the Business Office while adhering to all FERPA guidelines. This may include but not limited to: greeting visitors, directing phone calls, answering student questions regarding student account balances, holds, looking up student information, etc. Provide financial and administrative support for the Business Office and VP of Planning and Finance through entering work orders, purchasing supplies, paying bills, processing Eagle Buy requests, processing travel claims, maintaining a log of all monies received in the mail, managing the Business Office Procard, managing professional memberships, and managing the Business Office Conference Room. Processing requests for payment, credit card refunds, and journal vouchers. Scan journal vouchers, budget revisions, and other documents to document management system. Sort all incoming mail for the Business Office. Manage invoice received through mail and electronically for Accounts Payable; save and distribute invoices to responsible colleges and departments on campus. Oversee work study and scholarship students for the Business Office through scheduling and recording hours in Time Clock Plus. Review check copies from Accounts Payable check cycles prior to distribution in mail. Perform other duties as assigned within the Business Office, including assisting any area with special projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma with four years of related professional experience or an associate’s degree (60 college hours) with two years of related professional experience. General knowledge of accounting. Experience with software such as Microsoft Office and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in customer service or bookkeeping in a fast paced environment. Experience with Banner Software. Experience in a higher education setting.
Work Hours
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Pay grade 7.
