Job Purpose
The overall purpose of this job is to provide support for Tennessee Tech University’s administrative enterprise systems, including Ellucian Banner, Oracle Fusion, and other third-party applications as assigned. The role primarily focuses on application development, end-user technical support, analytics, ad-hoc reporting, and driving projects that enhance mission-critical systems. Additionally, this position serves as the technical support lead for designated administrative units, ensuring efficient and effective system operation.

Essential Functions
Perform application development and technical support for Ellucian Banner, Oracle Fusion, and third-party systems as assigned. Analyze business processes and make relevant recommendations for improvement. Build reports, forms, analytic dashboards, and automation to streamline business processes, improving efficiency and data accessibility. Analyze user-reported problems and issues, provide resolutions or develop solutions, if needed. Act as the liaison between functional users and vendors to resolve technical issues when internal solutions are not available. Write clear, concise, and descriptive documentation for development projects, user requests, and solutions to ensure clarity and traceability. Develop and support unit testing, ensuring the integrity of the systems. Provide timely status reports to functional users and management regarding project progress. Participate in planning sessions for implementing system upgrades or adding new features to various enterprise systems. Follow audit guidelines for system modifications, ensuring compliance and data security. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of recent technical support experience, particularly in an end-user support role. Candidates should also possess:
· Experience developing and supporting applications in Ellucian Banner and/or Oracle Fusion
· Experience providing technical support for Ellucian Banner and/or Oracle Fusion
· Familiarity with Evisions Argos and web servers like Apache/Tomcat and IIS.
· A strong ability to produce technical documentation.
· Proficiency in SQL, HTML, CSS, Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, and XML.
These qualifications ensure the candidate has both the technical and communication skills necessary to perform the role effectively. Effective communication skills to interact with users, co-workers, and vendors. Flexibility to work outside of normal hours and be available on-call when needed. Strong sense of confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Ability to maintain high standards of customer service while working with diverse populations. Problem-solving ability and the capacity to independently design, maintain, and test complex, error-free code/scripts. Attention to detail, especially in financial analysis and reporting. A self-motivated approach to continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a higher education environment is preferred, along with a strong background in SQL report development, design, and writing.
Work Hours
Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Other hours as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Pay grade 12.
