    Organization's Summary Statement:

    This position is available within the University of Maryland’s Division of Information Technology (DIT).

    The Junior Workday HCM Analyst is an entry level position and a key member within the Workday Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Services team at the University of Maryland, College Park in the Division of Information Technology (DIT). Reporting to the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) Manager for HR Functions, this position supports areas within the Workday platform related to recruiting functions including position management, job requisition, recruit to hire, offer, hire, and onboarding. Additionally, the Junior Workday HCM Analyst assists with other key employee lifecycle functions including talent, performance, learning, academics, and core HCM processes.

    This role serves in a Workday functional support manner to help with design, configuration, testing and implementing solutions based on business requirements. Collaboration and partnership with central business owners, tenant partners and cross functional ERP teams is also a key responsibility. The Junior Workday HCM Analyst works closely alongside ERP HCM team members to develop into a functional expert across key HCM areas.

    The successful candidate is a highly motivated team player that is expected to provide increased value, improved efficiencies and exceptional service to our campus community and tenant partners.

    **This position is considered essential and may be required to work at the normal work location or an alternative location during a major catastrophic event, weather emergency, or other operational emergency to help maintain the continuity of University services.**

    Preferences:
    ERP Workday experience with Recruiting functionality including Manage Positions, Job Requisitions, Recruit to Hire, and Onboarding. Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills. Strong Facilitation, Collaboration, and Partnership Skills. Strong experience with issue resolution. ERP Reporting, Dashboard, and Mass Data Load experience is a plus.

    Physical Demands:
    The incumbent works in an office environment and the position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to attend meetings on and off campus. Evening and weekend work may be required to meet deadlines. Ability to attend meetings at partner and customer offices.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

    Experience: One (1) year of professional information technology experience in the areas of business process analysis, business systems analysis, or process improvement.

    Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

    Knowledge of basic principles of business process analysis and improvement.

    Knowledge of common administrative functions and workflows in large organizations.

    Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    Knowledge of process mapping tools and techniques (e.g., flowcharts).

    Skill in collecting and organizing qualitative and quantitative data.

    Skill in documenting business processes in a clear and structured manner.

    Skill in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members and stakeholders.

    Skill in using standard productivity software and learning new systems or tools as needed.

    Skill in oral and written communication.
    Skill in the use of Google Suite products.

    Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively on cross-functional teams.

    Ability to analyze basic process data and identify areas of inefficiency.

    Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks across multiple assignments.

    Ability to adapt to changing project needs and organizational priorities.

    Additional Job Details
    Please note that all positions within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) have an in person component with expected time in our College Park, MD location per week. Telework is not a guaranteed work arrangement.
