Position Summary
The Department of Psychology at Bryant University invites applications for a Lecturer position in Bryant’s undergraduate psychology program, beginning August 2026.
The Department of Psychology has undergone considerable growth in recent years and offers a BS in psychology, a psychology concentration, and a psychology minor, as well as a doctoral program in clinical psychology (PsyD). The exceptional candidate will have strong commitment to and passion for teaching undergraduates and will foster students’ growth and development, both academically and professionally.
The Psychology department is a flagship program in the growing School of Health and Behavioral Sciences at Bryant University, which currently offers undergraduate majors in Psychology, Biology, Health Sciences, Healthcare Analytics, and Exercise and Movement Science, as well as graduate programs in Clinical Psychology, Physician Assistant Studies, and Healthcare Informatics and AI. Our dedicated faculty and newly renovated and expanded psychology space prepare students for science-related careers and graduate studies. Our programs integrate health and behavioral sciences with business and artificial intelligence. We emphasize basic and applied research, technological applications, and real-world experiences. Principal Accountabilities
Teaching responsibilities include general and clinically focused undergraduate courses (e.g., Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Clinical Psychopathology, Child Psychopathology, Counseling Theory & Practice). Additional responsibilities include active involvement in student-related activities (e.g., research and internship supervision, departmental advising), as well as providing service to the department and the university.
Qualifications
Earned doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology; experience in the field and teaching of clinical psychology practice and scholarship are preferred; the application of innovative classroom delivery, excellent written and oral communication skills, team building, self-motivation, and innovation in educational program offerings are expected. Involvement in ongoing clinical practice is supported. A commitment to student well-being and belonging within the program and the university community is essential.
