Description
The Help Desk Assistant is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Help Desk office for Ephraim campus.
They are the first point of contact for users (faculty, staff, students), assisting with technical questions and performing troubleshooting.
Qualifications
Must have good technical knowledge
Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
Be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution
Ability to learn new skills and procedures quickly and efficiently.
Must also be customer-oriented and have patience to deal with frequent questions
Knowledge of both Macs and PC’s
Major Responsibilities/Duties
Responsible for assisting day to day operations of the Help Desk
Help train new student workers
Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues (PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, applications)
Diagnose and resolve technical problems or escalate complex issues to higher-level support
Answer and respond to Help Desk tickets through TeamDynamix ticketing system
Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by users and follow IT policies and security procedures
Educate users on best practices and preventative measures
Additional technology duties as assigned
