  • 60% - Bioinformatics and Biostatistical Data Management:

    Independently design and implement a centralized data repository architecture for clinical,
    imaging, genomic, biomarker, and survey data.
    Lead and develop a comprehensive Data Management Core strategic plan.
    Lead the development and management of a secure data storage solutions compliant with
    institutional, HIPAA, and IRB standards.
    Lead the development of structured data pipelines for ingestion, transformation,
    harmonization, and validation.
    Independently develop a standardized metadata frameworks and data dictionaries.
    Manage the development of a centralized data inventory catalog.
    Independently develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data access, sharing, and governance.
    Manage and implement version control and documentation practices to ensure
    reproducibility.
    Collaborate with institutional IT and compliance offices to ensure regulatory adherence.
    Work closely with clinical research coordinators, biostatisticians, and collaborating
    institutions.
    25% - Bioinformatics and biostatistical analysis of multi-Omics datasets:

    Lead the development and implementation of standardized data ingestion and QC pipelines
    for the longitudinal cohort study. This includes the automated workflows for preprocessing and quality control of:
    • Longitudinal clinical data
    • Neuroimaging data
    • Biospecimen-linked datasets
    • Genomic and multi-omics data
    Provide subject matter expertise on statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining
    projects.
    Facilitate integration of cohort data with external collaborative datasets.
    Provide analytic consultation for investigators developing grants and manuscripts.
    Work closely with clinical research coordinators, biostatisticians, and collaborating
    institutions.
    Harmonize multi-site datasets to ensure consistency and interoperability.
    Provide subject matter expertise on data sharing initiatives and preparation of datasets for
    grant submissions and publications.
    10% - Training others in the lab and center for utilizing biocomputational pipelines:

    Independently provide data mining tutorial pipeline establishment for trainees to learn and
    use.
    Lead routine bimonthly workshops for trainees to learn data processing and analysis.
    Lead biweekly meetings to monitor trainees’ progress.
    Lead the development and implementation of a documented data governance and SOP
    framework.
    5% - Manuscript preparation and submission:

    Generate analytic reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support leadership decision-
    making.
    Contribute to NIH and foundation grant proposals, including sections on data management
    and analytic plans.
    Support preparation of manuscripts and conference presentations.
    Independently create integrated analytic dataset supporting a bioinformatics project or grant application.

    Qualifications
    Required Qualifications:

    An Advanced Degree with substantial research and publication record.
    Extensive bioinformatics and biostatistical experience including NGS data analysis, including RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, Spatial Transcriptomics (10xVisium, Nanostring GeoMx), ChIP–seq, ATAC-seq, Cut&Run/Tag, scATAC-seq, Infinium MethylationEPIC Array, WGBS, MS/MS, CyTOF, Hi-C, WGS/WES dataset, Proteomics, Lipidomics/Metabolomics; Strong background in R and Python programming, and statistical analysis.
    Data management responsibilities including building center data storage platform, data process, format and standardization, data upload, data warehouse maintenance and distribution.
    Bioinformatics training: data mining tutorial pipelines, and routine workshops for trainees to learn data processing and analysis.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Knowledgeable about wet lab experiments; Linux and cluster computing environment; multi-project management.

    Pay Range: $90,930.38 annually - $110,000 annually; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
