College Savings Month reminds parents, students to plan ahead

September is College Savings Month, an annual reminder to parents and students to start putting money aside and planning how they will pay for continued education after high school.

The numbers can be a bit daunting. Finaid.org offers a simple calculator where users input the current tuition at a school, the percentage tuition is expected to increase annually and how many years remain before the student would begin as a freshman.
