Vince Kotchian grew up in suburban Connecticut as the oldest of four children; his first tutoring experience involved helping his siblings with their homework. In high school, he graduated in the top 10% of his class, and took a leadership role in an SAT prep class. He was then accepted into the Honors Program at Boston College, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Vince is also a member of Mensa.
Vince's work experience ranges from being part of a start-up company to working for larger corporations. For the last several years, he has worked in real estate, and is now pursuing a graduate degree. He has over seven years of experience tutoring a variety of tests and subjects.
Vince teaches easy-to-remember techniques for solving problems, believing that standardized test-taking is a skill that can be learned and refined. He assigns students a significant amount of practice problems and tests, because he has found that the students that practice the most raise their scores the most.
Among other interests, Vince enjoys running, reading, playing and watching sports, and improv comedy. He lives in La Jolla and is available to tutor throughout San Diego county - at your home or at the location of your choosing. His phone is 617-519-6101 (please note, it's a 617 area code, not 619), and his email is [email protected].
