  • AOMC SON Mission Statement

    The mission of the Arnot Ogden Medical Center School of Nursing, under the sponsorship of the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, is the development of highly competent nursing professionals. The strength of the school is the actual clinical experience that students receive. In each course the material taught is reinforced by caring for patients/clients and working in areas that are relevant to that course. The graduates possess the qualifications necessary to perform the entry-level skills associated with the profession of nursing in diverse areas such as hospitals, home health care, nursing homes, doctor's offices and occupational health among others. Graduates are well prepared to create careers in many fields and to continue their education for advanced practice roles.

    • All School of Nursing applicants must be graduates of accredited high schools or have successfully completed the high school equivalency examination. All applicants are required to have successful completion of the mandatory chemistry and algebra courses.
    • The TEAS exam (Test of Essential Academic Skills) is a pre-entrance test that is a required part of our admission criteria for the Arnot Ogden Medical Center School of Nursing. After you have registered, paid, and selected a test date at the www.atitesting.com website, you will complete the TEAS exam at the School of Nursing.
