Assignments for this class consist of two homeworks and fifteen team-based design assignments.



Homework Assignments


The class begins with two homework assignments, to be completed individually.

Design Assignments


Working in their teams, students complete a sequence of design assignments that build incrementally toward the final project. This year's project teams are:

  • Solar Water Disinfection Container: Anna Bershteyn, EunMee Yang, Ed Hsieh, and Alfinio Flores
  • Patient Case Tracking System: Samantha Goldstein, Timothy Heidel, Nadja Oertelt, and Alisa Rhee
  • Pedal-Powered Washing Machine: Jenny Hu, Radu Raduta and Jessica Vechakul
  • Run of the River Micro-Hydro Generator: Kaia Dekker, Marion Dumas, Victoria Tai, and Matt Zedler
  • Source2Sink Water Collection and Transport System: Jessica Rhee and anonymous student.
