Washington State University is cutting about 360 full-time jobs and three academic programs to reduce its budget by $54 million, or more than 10 percent, over the next two years.

The Pullman-based university released a preliminary budget plan on May 1 after the state Legislature announced an operating budget that included significant cuts to higher education.
