College expansion plans 'on hold'

North Devon College was relying on a £74m grant from the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) to help fund a new campus in Barnstaple.

The college principal described the LSC's decision as a massive blow.

"Funding a project of North Devon's scale and ambition is difficult at this time but it is a huge disappointment," David Dodd said.
