Area higher ed seeking funds

Higher education campuses in the Texas Panhandle have missed out on $111 million in federal stimulus money that lawmakers distributed to schools elsewhere in the state.
But area schools are still seeking other ways to claim some of the $700 billion that comes with the passage earlier this year of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
