Young People Out of Work or Education in England Climbs 14%

The number of 16-24 year olds who are not in education, employment or training in England climbed to 959,000 in the second quarter, 14 percent more than a year earlier, according to U.K. government estimates published today.

Most of the increase is accounted for by people aged 18-24, 835,000 of whom were out of employment, education or training, the figures from the Department for Schools and Families show.
