Letter writer misunderstands Obama's education focuses

Regarding Morgan Johns' Sept. 14 letter "Obama's views on education fail to recognize achievement," as one privileged Caucasian female to another, I would suggest that Johns actually read President Barack Obama's most recent speech to students on education before launching into an incoherent tirade against it. For starters, none of Johns' quotations are in Obama's September education speech. If read, the speech cannot possibly be construed as only targeting "minorities and No Child Left Behind."
