Women organize for education

An AWEsome bunch of women, the Arkansas Women for Education, have formed to bring education awareness and beautification to the Texarkana, Ark., School District.

AWE President Sandy Varner said when word got out about the group, there was a great response. More than 200 women signed up to serve.

“We concentrated on people we thought were interested in education,” Varner said.
