Body Pulled From Chicago River May Be Board Of Education President

An autopsy is under way to determine whether a body pulled from the Chicago River is that of Chicago Board of Education President Michael Scott.

Police said officers were called to the city's River North neighborhood at about 3:15 a.m., where they found a man's body in the water.

For now, police aren't confirming the body's identity.

Cook County Board President Todd Stroger has issued a statement on Michael Scott's death, extending condolences to Scott's family.
