Jim Calhoun Vs. Krayeske: Not $12 Million Net

It turns out that the $12 million figure mentioned by UConn men's basketball coach Jim Calhoun on Saturday was not a net number.

The Hartford Courant's Matthew Kauffman and Rick Green both looked into the numbers and found that the men's team brought in $7.3 million directly from ticket sales and other revenues. The whole thing started when a UConn law school student, Ken Krayeske, questioned Calhoun after the men's team won a game at the former Hartford Civic Center on Saturday afternoon.
