'U' President To Call For Education Renaissance

University of Minnesota President Robert Bruininks will use his 2010 State of the University Address to call for a higher education renaissance in Minnesota.

The university says in a news release that the speech, "Chart the Future: Partners for the Public Good" will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Coffman Memorial Union Theater in Minneapolis.

Bruininks is to ask the both the state and the university to better align their goals and policies with the needs and expectations of the state and its residents.
