BOOKS: Walter Mosley and Lisa Scottoline forge new paths

Walter Mosley's 30 years in New York City have finally compelled him to set a series there. And if this debut featuring a crusty black detective who has seen it all is any indication, it will at least rival the Easy Rawlins series for which he has been so deservedly praised.
