Education board promotes leader

The Higher Education Coordinating Board has promoted its interim leader, Don Bennett, to executive director.

Bennett took over the top spot in April for Ann Daley. He was part of a HEC Board team that developed the state’s master plan for higher education in 2008.

He will make $150,000 a year.
