OPINION: Education funds don’t leave much room for failure

More money does not always equate to better schools, but once schools dip below a reasonable level of funding, it is inevitable that education will suffer.

So the federal government pumping $250 million into Massachusetts schools as part of President Obama’s Race to the Top program is good for Brockton and all the towns in the area that will receive funds.

This is not a cure-all, and communities cannot keep looking elsewhere for extra cash, but this money is welcome at a time when the economy....
