College sticker shock doesn’t stop with huge tuition bills. Textbook prices have climbed over the years, and today it’s not unusual to see students pay as much as $200 for a book for just one course.

Aside from the fact that textbook publishing houses are in business to make money, it’s hard to justify the countless new editions of textbooks in common subjects such as calculus or physics that appear each year with ever-growing price tags.
