1 in 5 Canadian teens not pursuing education

As youth across the country return to school, a Statistics Canada report released today suggests one in five Canadian teenagers were not pursuing a formal education in 2008 and some provinces were more successful in integrating youth with less education into the labour force.

About 20 per cent of teens between 15 and 19 years old were not attending school and the percentages varied from province to province from 14 per cent of teens not in school in New Brunswick to more than a quarter ....
