Thousands of donated books head to Joplin

Soon after a mile wide tornado devastated Joplin, Missouri on May 22, 2011, a principal 1200 miles away at Curtis Fundamental Elementary in Dunedin started asking herself questions. "I looked at our own school and thought what if a tornado hit here? What could we do to help?"

Twister damage especially tugged at Pam Metz-Easley's heart. Her University of Missouri diploma proudly hangs above her desk in her office. She grew up near joplin and still has family and friends there.
