Syracuse attempting to revive orchestra

Syracuse University is leading an effort to bring a symphony orchestra back to its city.
The Syracuse Post-Standard reports that Nancy Cantor, the university’s chancellor, has “committed staff and resources to revive symphonic music in Syracuse.”
The Syracuse Symphony Orchestra suspended its season in April, and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy soon thereafter. The orchestra had last made a profit in 2006.
