University of Alabama secures spot in BCS National Championship game

It's the re-match many people expected: LSU versus Alabama. LSU took the first game against the Tide 9 to 6 in overtime.

The BCS title game is January 9th in the Big Easy. This is the first rematch in BCS title-game history and the first time teams from the same conference will meet in the BCS' 14-year-history.

There was some speculation that the Tide could slip to the third spot, if Oklahoma State beat Oklahoma by a significant margin. The Cowboys won 44 to 10, but it was not enough to....
