KSU plans to launch public health college

Kent State University is poised to spend $5 million over the next few years to launch its first new college in more than two decades.

Officials are in the early stages of searching for 25 new faculty and a dean to administer programs in the fledgling College of Public Health.

''It will be a very great addition to the campus,'' Provost Bob Frank said. ''We think the programs will work well with our research offerings and be a significant advantage.''
