Glandon: College should better lives of students

One of three finalists to succeed Arizona Western College's retiring president made a case Tuesday for public support and the critical role that higher education plays in the community.

Berton Glandon, president of Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colo., praised AWC for being among the top 10 community colleges in the nation. He said it was a reflection of its high standards, academic achievement and the quality of its programs and staff.
