Judge dismisses fired Wis. professor's lawsuit

MADISON, Wis. - A judge has dismissed a wrongful termination lawsuit brought by a University of Wisconsin-Superior professor fired in 2001 over misconduct allegations.

Douglas County Circuit Court Judge Robert Eaton ruled earlier this month that John Marder's right to a fair hearing was not violated before the Board of Regents fired him. The regents cited sexual harassment of two students and other unprofessional behavior by Marder, a tenured professor who advised the student newspaper.
