When voters overwhelmingly elected Bill Ritter as governor in 2006, they chose a visionary leader with a sound strategy for moving Colorado forward.

His vision and strategy called for building a New Energy Economy, reforming health care and improving classroom education from preschool to graduate school. The strategy called for crafting an economic-development agenda that would expand knowledge-based industries of the future such as energy, aerospace, biosciences and technology.
