COLLEGE BASEBALL: Kellar, Eagles keep finding ways to win

NIAGARA FALLS — If the Niagara University baseball team is a study in waiting for the right time to perform, consider senior pitcher Michael Kellar its poster child.

Although the Purple Eagles have won just six of 30 starts out of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, interim head coach Rob McCoy’s team has won 12 of 18 in conference play. Kellar, a lanky lefty, has lost all three of his non-conference decisions, but entered Sunday’s rubber match with MAAC-leading Manhattan with a sparkling....
