Armed robbery causes lockdown at Dubuque college

DUBUQUE, Iowa - A lockdown at Loras College in Dubuque has been lifted after an armed robbery at a nearby gas station.

Police requested the lockdown Tuesday afternoon while officers searched for the suspect.

Police say a man robbed a BP station about a block from campus around 4 p.m. Students were asked to stay inside and all campus buildings were secured for about 45 minutes.
