Newport Univ. relinquishes Wyoming registration

An international school that lost a court battle over school licensing has relinquished its state registration and plans to leave Wyoming.

Laramie-based Newport International University at one point listed campuses in 14 countries on its Web site. The site wasn't operational Tuesday.

The school relinquished its state registration April 24, according to the Wyoming Department of Education.
