Connecticut State University System Adopts New Policy On Hiring Retirees

The Connecticut State University System board of trustees Thursday tightened its policy for rehiring retirees by instituting a more robust review process for those who work beyond two years after retiring.

The new policy requires retirees to get approval from a committee before they can be rehired beyond two years. As part of the process, they must provide a detailed justification of their "unique qualifications and experience" that make them the only person qualified for the job.
