College coaches go Twitter crazy

Tweeting is suddenly the new favorite pastime for NCAA coaches seeking to land big name recruits.

According to ESPN, The University of Tennessee will have to self-report a NCAA recruiting violation. The transgression, however, doesn’t involve boosters or a cheating scandal. On May, 20 the culprit in Knoxville, Tennessee was none other than microblogging site Twitter.

An update on the Volunteer Head Coach Lane Kifflin’s Twitter page mentioned the name of a football recruit for the Tennessee....
