Marshall Honors College may attract more to top-notch students

After several years of talk, Marshall University is moving forward with plans for an Honors College -- a step that should help bolster the university.

Marshall officials' plan includes taking an existing honors program, now in the Center for Academic Excellence, and moving it into the new Honors College. The Honors College also will include the Society of Yeager Scholars, which involves a select few students undergoing a rigorous academic career at Marshall.
